TREHERBERT + DISTRICT PENSIONERS + WIDOWS ASSOCIATION
£4,130 – MICRO FUND – FEB 2017
This was a well-presented and thought-through application by an energetic and inclusive community group. The funded work was to enhance the building, and make a real difference to its many users. The group’s work targets those most at risk of loneliness and all the mental and physical ill-health that can bring.
The work carried out included: fixing a ‘hole in the floor’ / making building more secure / a new ramp for wheelchairs and pushchairs allowing easy access to the building and new benches outside the Hall.
“The building is safer and more secure…the ramp has been very helpful and a great asset to all users of the building. The patio stones are looking so good and evenly laid and the benches are a very safe place for anyone to rest on in the fresh air.” Quote from Barbara Ware
