Not the easiest time to be starting a job, but we are more than delighted to be welcoming Michelle Noble to our small (currently separated and remotely working) team this week, as our brand-new Enterprise Support and Finance Officer.

Michelle will be responsible for advising and supporting business applicants (commercial and not-for-profit), from those at the initial idea stage or about to launch, to those who are established and ready to grow – complementing existing business support services and developing networks. She will also provide finance management support for the CIC itself and financial and business analysis of applications submitted.

Michelle set up her own social enterprise from scratch with all the challenges, learning and excitement that involves, so brings a wealth of experience to the job. “I am so excited to be joining the Pen y Cymoedd Community Fund Team” she said. I’m really excited to be working with the local communities, working with that passion to help develop and pass on my own learning”

As well as learning all she can about the Community Fund, she is pitching in with the Team to manage the new Emergency Fund, aiming to support community groups and businesses facing such serious challenges at this very difficult time.

As soon as she can, Michelle will be out and about, joining us at our regular Community Fund advice sessions and meeting stakeholders across the Fund area of Benefit. She can’t wait!
