Philip Warren Photography has been capturing happy couples’ special moments since 2007. With just himself working at the business, he hired space on Award Winning Treorchy High Street, to offer a professional space to meet prospective clients and offer bespoke photo shoots. Hiring a space seen his business increase significantly with great reviews from prospective clients when finding the right person to capture their special day. 2020 was the year for Philip Warren Photography to take the next step in securing his own space, provide an adaptable area for other photographers in the area to use and extend into providing videography to his clients, hoping this would help create a part time job to support building the brand and marketing.
In March 2020, Pen y Cymoedd awarded a Micro Fund grant of £3,039.80 as a contribution towards developing The Loft Studio.
Pen y Cymoedd are committed to supporting businesses across the fund area, to invest in business infrastructure, maintain busy and attractive highstreets and helping businesses to create a range of sustainable, quality jobs in the local community.
With a global pandemic bringing the wedding industry to a halt only weeks after receiving the award, plans for The Loft Studio were put on hold. This made Philip Warren Photography even more determined to develop this space and worked tirelessly as restrictions eased, to realise the vision he had for the next stage of his business. As restrictions started to ease and the Wedding industry was back in full swing, it was vital the marketing and building up of the brand of the new space was promoted across South Wales and further afield. The funding allowed Philip Warren to achieve his original vision for The Loft Studio and create a full-time job supporting the promotion of the brand.
