On 5th December, the Micro Fund will be well and truly launched and applications invited for the first round. The Micro Fund has been established to offer one-off grants of up to £5,000, to support important aspects of community life and enterprise development. It can support the purchase of small items of equipment, activities, events, projects, start-ups and training courses. Application packs and guidance are available here on our website (and by contacting our office in Aberdare) with a closing date of 13th February 2017, so things are really moving! The Fund will be in place for 20 years, so no need to panic if you’re not ready to submit an application immediately. There will be at least two Micro Fund rounds each year.
The Vision Fund will offer larger grants and loans for activities that help to deliver one or more of the priorities set out in the Prospectus. Proposals will need to show how long-term benefits will be delivered. Invitations for the first round of the Vision Fund will be invited in spring 2017.
