Back in 2018 we engaged the local CVCs to offer practical help and support to fund communities. Since then they have provided:

  • Provided development support to hundreds of Fund applicants and grant recipients
  • Helped groups apply for funding from PyC and other funders
  • Offered training, mentoring and guidance
  • Supported the PyC team
  • Signposted and introduced groups to other agencies to strengthen the area and groups operating in it

“We are thrilled to offer NPT CVS funding of £150,000 to continue supporting the fund and fund communities over the next 3 years.

The work they do in partnership with local leaders and communities is invaluable in ensuring the PyC fund brings about positive and long-lasting changes. They can identify local strengths and assets, and support communities to develop and deliver projects, programmes and enterprises that address local issues. The fund has always hoped to be ambitious over its lifetime aiming to support the area to be a dynamic, exciting, vibrant place to live and work. The additional support offered by Neath Port Talbot CVS and their skilled staff is vital for us to deliver this aim.” – Kate Breeze, Executive Director

“Neath Port Talbot CVS are pleased to work in partnership with the Board of Directors and staff at the Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund to ensure that the Fund is maximised here in Neath Port Talbot. The Fund continues to provide an opportunity for local people in the Neath and Afan Valleys to invest in themselves and their ideas – building on all that is good in their communities and developing a positive vision for the future.” – Gaynor Richards, Director of Neath Port Talbot CVS.
