We are really pleased to be able to support Treorchy and District Chamber of Trade with a £24,904 Vision Fund grant for the ‘Visit Treorchy’ initiative.
The grant brings active community groups and vibrant businesses together, all focussed on the aim of telling the world what a brilliant place Treorchy is, and encouraging people to come and explore this buzzing and bustling town.
Although Treorchy has recently been doing well, down to independent businesses and individuals with drive and enthusiasm, it still faces challenges – ongoing work is needed to ensure that this position is sustained and develops further. The grant will enable the development of a Visit Treorchy website for both businesses and over 50 community groups – along with a promotional film, and photographs of every business, town event and place of interest. The site will be a resource for everyone – residents and visitors alike.
A quarterly ‘What’s On’ guide will accompany the website, including specific town events, local stories and local businesses advertising. The grant will also contribute to Christmas lighting.
