The application was for the purchase, delivery and installation of swings and a slide on a grassed surface in a Community Council owned and managed park. This replaced equipment which had to be removed, being beyond economic repair and unsafe for use. It had been much missed by local children and their families.
The Council’s members are committed and pro-active, working closely with and consulting residents about village development priorities and facilities. They have already installed a skate park following consultation with local young people and the installation of play equipment was the next stage of the park area development plan.
“The children of the village have benefited and the park is used on a daily basis. Families regularly attend the park with children of all ages.”
