To support and manage the Community Fund, the Pen y Cymoedd Community Interest Company Board members have been busy appointing two new members of staff:
Barbara Anglezarke is the Executive Director of the Fund, responsible for day-to- day management and strategic leadership. Barbara has managed grant programmes in both the voluntary and public sectors, has been involved in policy and programme development with Natural Resources Wales, and has worked with communities since she started volunteering with Cardiff Women’s Aid after leaving college. She is thrilled to be in the post – “the opportunity to be involved in supporting exciting projects and activities that will deliver real and lasting change is really exciting”.
Kate Pritchard has joined the team as Programme Administrator, providing all aspects of delivery support for the Community Fund. Kate has worked in administration support roles for 12 years since completing her Law degree in 2003 and has worked in a variety of employment settings from running her own business to managing grant programmes in Higher Education Institutions. Kate says – “I have lived in the Upper Rhondda Valley all my life – I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about providing support to this exciting Fund that will make a real difference to local communities”.
All of us involved in the Community Interest Company are very grateful for the ongoing support of Vattenfall, and for all their hard work to bring the Fund to this point.
