For 6 years now, both NPT CVS (in Neath and Afan) and Interlink RCT (in Rhondda and Cynon) have been supporting communities in the fund area. They have offered dedicated support and we have now agreed to offer funding of £80,856 to Interlink RCT for the next 3 years.
Interlink RCT now focus support in the area on more community / group-based training and events, and it is these and the shared learning workshops they host that offer opportunities for our applicants and for us to benefit from shared best practice, collaboration with other agencies and funders and in being able to support communities in a more proactive way.
The support they offer is invaluable; as a fund we are committed to leaving a real legacy at the end of the funding, and to do that we need communities to be supported to improve their resilience, sustainability and maximise the funding available by developing ambitious and well considered plans – and Interlink RCT and their fantastic team are a key element in providing this support. We are thrilled to continue our relationship with them.
“We have really enjoyed working with the Team at Pen y Cymoedd to provide support to all the active local groups doing such amazing work in the Fund area. We are looking forward to getting to work with even more groups and working with the Team and our other partners over the next three years.” – Julie Edwards, Interlink
